Hemp, or industrial hemp, is a type of Cannabis sativa plant that we grow specifically for our CBD products. It’s one of the fastest growing plants and was one of the first plants to be spun into usable fibre 10,000 years ago. Each part of the hemp plant can be refined into a variety of commercial items including paper, textiles, clothing, biodegradable plastics, paint, insulation, biofuel, food and animal feed.

We use the whole-hemp plant seed to create our range of products. Nothing added, nothing taken away. And we never use a carrier oil. Instead, we use a traditional cold-pressing technique, so each Celtic Wind  product consists of 100% whole-hemp plant seed oil with an abundance of whole plant nutrients.

All our products are legal and can be sold by us and bought by you in Ireland, the UK, the US and the EU. They’re also fully compliant with the EU Food Supplements Directive 2002/46/EC and Regulation 1169/2011/EU on the Provision of Food Information to Consumers. Our CBD products for pets are manufactured under license from the Department of Agriculture in Ireland.

No, our hemp products are not addictive because there’s no THC that can potentially be addictive or habit-forming.

No, it will not.  Our products are routinely tested and no banned substance THC (or THCA, THCV, CBN) has been detected in our products. 

We’re licensed to grow EU-certified industrial food hemp crop that contains less than 0.2% Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC – the stuff that gets you high). One of the techniques the laboratories use for testing is leading the field in CBD analysis. It enables full-spectrum analysis of compounds found naturally occurring in hemp, which includes CBD levels. We also test for microbial content to make sure our products are completely safe.

Our products are made from 100% whole-hemp plant seed oil, using a cold-pressing technique so nothing is added or taken away. The grassy-green colour is the natural colour of hemp oil.

No, you cannot vape or smoke Celtic Wind CBD oils.  Our oil is not designed to be smoked or vaped.  There is a difference between CBD oil and CBD liquid.  Celtic Wind CBD oil is administered orally under the tongue. CBD liquids, on the other hand, are uniquely produced to be vaporised using a steam inhalation method. 

Whole-hemp plant seed oil is a grassy green colour and tastes ‘nutty’ like sunflower seeds. We often hear it described as "natural" and “earthy.” 

We never extract our CBD and put it in a carrier oil. Instead we use a traditional cold-pressing technique, so 100% whole-hemp plant seed oil and the abundance of whole plant nutrients makes it into every oil, capsule and powder. It’s how we retain the properties and complexity of this ancient grain.
